Bristol is one of my very favorite cities to spend time in. It has a always had big outdoor climbing scene and there are now a good number of great indoor walls. We have done many matting jobs in the South West and particularly Bristol over the last year or two, including Bloc, Flashpoint, Redpoint and the other TCA Bristol wall, The Church. Covid restrictions have been hard for all gym operators however Lockdown 3 gave us a window of opportunity to refit the original TCA Mothership matting.
Eighteen months earlier the Mothership had expanded with the addition of an entire new floor. The new upper level has high ceilings and a huge window and black carpet topped mats were chosen for the upstairs matting. Black mats look great against the light coloured walls however the downstairs the wall is more enclosed with more grungy industrial look mixed with vibrant colours on the walls. The old carpet had been blue and the new grey carpet top gave the space an airy feel with noticeably more light bouncing around.
Many hands made light work during the install and the TCA team were fantastic enabling the install to be done in just a day.
